Spider, tarantula acrophobia.
All of my life I was scared of spiders, especially the black widow, I wasn't afraid I was really terrified.
I don't know if it's their silky net that sticks to you when mistakenly you walk through it, their hairy legs and the grayish brownish body color, or the thought of how they might crawl on me when I sleep.
Yes, it's a common fear and I'm not the only one - there are thousands like me.
On the other hand, there are these who like spiders, like my friend M.
M is a fearless and spider friendly person. He likes all kinds of spiders, and even though he says that he doesn't like the tarantula because they just look big I think that he does like them but just won't admit to it.
M is not just familiar with all spiders, he is also an expert in spider webs. He is a very knowledgeable person, and I'm not the only one who can learn from him. Even Kids can Learn from him and he is teaching what he knows online. He can tell you anything you need to know about spider webs.
Here is where my story gets interesting!
One day in order to cure me from my fear of spiders; M invited me to his house to show me his spider webs. Since he likes spiders he has a lot of them, and he actually raises them and permits them to build their webs uninterrupted.
M suggested that that I choose one of his spider webs and watch the spider for at least one hour which I reluctantly and with my fear of spiders in the forefront of my thoughts, I agreed to.
After one hour M came back with a bag of wedding glitter and asked me to take one single glitter and throw it at the spider web and to see what will happen.
When I did the web began to shake, a bit like a small earthquake, and the spider which felt it immediately, ran to check what the new sparkly dot on its net was.
Then M suggested that I throw another glitter to a different area on the web and to see what happens. The net shook again and the spider ran this time to the other side of his web to check the latest sparkly dot.
I could swear it was not my imagination but I could actually hear the spider thinking to himself, asking himself,
"What is this, some kind of a game?", and it would seem to me that he actually liked it. The more glitter that I threw into his web, the faster he would run to investigate and find some connection between them and where they came from. Are they all similar looking? Is there any relation to the time that they all of a sudden appear on his net?
The spider went from dot to dot kind of curious, kind of happy, and Google li gool, he finally understood that the dots are related to one another, and that there is a unique relationship between these dots: that they are all sparkly wedding glitter of different color.
He was so happy and then he remembered a song written by a few of his family members- The Beatles and he start to sing to himself.
"All you need his wife, Wife is all you need, all you need is wife, wife. Wife is all you need. Wife is all you need.."
But he didn't have a wife so he decided to keep these sparkly dots on his web and enjoy them as long that they are there. He played with them, he jumped and Google li gool between them until one day he noticed that the dots that he likes to play with so much are no longer as shiny and sparkly as they had been. With time, they lost their shine and sparkle, which had made them so unique, and he kind of lost interest in them.
But you, dear reader, don't lose interest with this story, as you read through it and get toward the end you will have more understanding of web ranking and web search optimization.
One day I came back to visit M and his spiders, and I saw that the spider don't like his dots any more.
So me, the one who hates spiders so much, and is disgusted by them actually felt for the poor spider. I then took some more wedding glitter and I threw two new bits of glitter at his web. The spider went and ran again to check the sparkly dots, and to my surprise it did not seem to recognize them.
M then told me that this spider usually loses interest in things that he does, but I felt differently. I decided that evidently our spider suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Poor spider, I really felt for him maybe the years around M has made him loose interest with things because as great a friend as M is for me, he also loses interest with things. Perhaps M infected the spider with chronic disinterest. However, I wasn't sure if he infected my spider or that the spider's years of loneliness on his web made him forget things.
I wasn't really sure if M was right this time about the spider losing interest. I was sure that the spider's sadness and loneliness make him to suffer from Alzheimer's so I decide to make him happy, and to take him with me and allow him build a new web close to me, where I can keep him happy and throw new sparkly wedding glitter every day. I actually make is web even more interesting by throwing also some confetti and rice.
I decided to name my spider Jacob. One day he told me that he doesn't mind the mixing of glitter, rice, and confetti because he knows that they are all related to each other, all being things thrown at weddings and weddings make him happy.
I allowed Jacob to build a huge web, and I called it "The Pinky Group Web" because it seem to be that Jacob likes shiny, sparkly, and pink.
The only challenge I have right now is to keep Jacob happy and full of interest with new things on his web.
Since every two weeks the shiny color of the glitter fades, I need to add new glitter.
Unfortunately, I have more or less run out of rice, confetti and glitter and I need your help to keep Jacob happy.
